Consumer use first became popular through dial-up connections in the 1980s and 1990s

Visual Programming LAB & Database Management System LAB

A descendent of the 70's SEQueL standard, SQL has aged well and is still the tool most favoured by database administrators across the globe. There are two essential purposes of a database language:- to create and edit the database and to perform queries. The simple fact is that these tasks are accomplished by users of SQL and SQL powered applications with generally greater ease and efficiency, and that no-one has yet come up with a better way of working with data in a relational database.

Computer Networks LAB

The lab offers an integrated educational process in the field of information and communication technologies emphasizing the issue of computer networks, their design, administration and management. In the lab premises specialized teaching of courses and events oriented on network technologies and teaching within NetAcad program (network academy program CISCO) is implemented. LPS has university significance currently offering teaching for more than 200 students of the Technical University annually. The lab is built in cooperation with a whole range of other external sponsors, especially Cisco Systems Company.

PROJECT LAB, NP LAB & Web Development LAB

Web development is a broad term for the work involved in developing a web site for the Internet (World Wide Web) or an intranet (a private network). Web development can range from developing the simplest static single page of plain text to the most complex web-based internet applications, electronic businesses, and social network services

Numerical Method LAB

Your goal in this lab is to develop a numerical algorithm for approximating solutions to differential equations that works a little better than Euler's method. After you develop the required formulas, you will then compare the results to those obtained by Euler's method for a given differential equation and for several different step sizes.

Fundamentals of Computer Programming using C LAB

The C language is a very powerful and low level programming language that is used in the programming of a lot of applications and such for computers. A lot is possible with C that is not necessarly possible with other languages and someone with a good understanding of it can create things that can not only cause the computer to do things, but control the computers hardware itself. I myself only have a basic knowledge of C from working on a university engineering degree and this year and working on C# which is new and object oriented and implements a lot of new ideas and seems to be picking up popularity quickly.

Object oriented Programming System LAB & Intelligent System LAB

The Intelligent Systems Laboratory (ISL) at RPI includes theoretical developments in computer vision, in probabilistic reasoning using graphical models, and in applications of these theories to different fields. Specifically, in computer vision, our research focuses on theoretical developments in object motion analysis and tracking, image segmentation, and object recognition. In probabilistic reasoning, our research focuses on three aspects: active inference, efficient inference, and model learning. Specifically, in active inference, we focus on developing algorithms and techniques that can identify the most informative evidences to use in order to perform effective inference in an efficient and timely manner.
